Formula Student

I have been going to TT Circuit Assen for longer than I can remember, It started with MotoGP, then I started going to events at the track such as track days, meetings and smaller races. That is when I came across Formula Student. A competition for University's all around the world, where they build a smaller sized formula car from scratch and then compete in different categories. I had never heard about this but saw that there was an event at Assen so I grabbed my gear and went to take a look. At first I didn't expect much but I was surprised when I saw that the cars the students had build where absolutely sticking to the ground with impressive aerodynamics, as seen in the Photo's taken, The huge wings in comparison with the small cars create lots of downforce which makes it possible to make corners at very high speed! This was an exciting event and I will definitely visit this again some day!
