"Chasing Speed, Capturing Glory"
The Slogan of SenneVisuals, which comes from my childhood dream, being a driver in a big championship like Formula 1. When I got older and older I realized this dream was as good as untouchable, but working in motorsports was not, when I started my course to becoming a AV-Specialist I knew for sure, that one day, I would make my childhood dream of working in Motorsports true.
Who is Senne?

"Lucky Day"
I have been going to the MotoGP at Assen for the past 12 years, but 2024 was a special one for me, This was the first year I got to take my own camera to the track! But that wasn't all... On Friday me ,my family and friends always do a lap around the track, as in Assen the grandstands are open for everyone on Friday and Saturday! While doing our lap, we decided to sit at "De Bult" also known as Turn 9, here you are at the inside of the corner and this makes for pretty pictures! As I sat there a fellow photographer sat next to me, Me with my 18-105mm lens was immediately impressed by his gear, he had a 200-600mm lens which is a perfect lens on the side of the track! We sat next to each other so we started chatting about the riders and photography. Then he opened his bag and pulled out a 70-200mm lens, looked at me and said "here you go, I'm gonna switch to this" and gave me his 200-600mm lens. I was a bit shocked because these things are not cheap, but he didn't seem to bother, so I clicked it on my camera body and started shooting some shots, the amount of zoom was something I wasn't used to so it took me some time to get it right, but when I did the results where amazing, and can be seen here.
How it Started
From a young age, Senne Dijkstra discovered his creative spark through making YouTube videos. What started as a fun hobby quickly turned into a passion for editing and storytelling. As he developed a natural feel for video production, he knew this was something he wanted to pursue further.
When the time came to apply for a course in school, Senne chose to study as an AV Specialist, a program that involved learning everything about filmmaking, editing, and mastering the technical aspects of the camera. While honing his skills, he began taking photos here and there, experimenting with composition and light.
What started as a small hobby soon became much more. Over time, Senne realized that photography gave him the freedom to capture a moment in a way that spoke to him on a deeper level. It was in these still frames that he found his true passion. From that moment on, his focus shifted to photography, where he could channel his creativity and tell stories in a single shot.
This is how the journey began, and it’s still evolving today.
"Behind The Scenes"
As a "Friend of TT Circuit Assen" I recently had the opportunity to go behind the scenes at the track! During a photography workshop presented by 'Marco Lohman' we got some useful info and then headed out to the track with a media vest to experience the thrill of being close to the track to make some photo's! Sadly the weather wasn't our friend on this day but that didn't stop me from doing what I love!
Photography
What truly sparked my photography journey was an unexpected opportunity. While attending a motorsport event at the TT Circuit in Assen, I met a very generous photographer who lent me a professional lens for the day. The moment I saw the world through that lens, I knew photography was where I belonged. Capturing the fast-paced action on the track made me realize this was my game.
From there, I began taking on small jobs as a photographer at local events, steadily building my experience and refining my skills. Each opportunity helped me grow, and I became more confident behind the camera.
One of the highlights of my photography journey has been attending major motorsport events with my camera in hand. I’ve had the incredible chance to photograph the Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix, the Porsche Supercup, and the MotoGP at TT Assen. Capturing the raw energy of on-track action from the speed of the cars and bikes to the intensity of the races has been an unforgettable experience and further fueled my passion for motorsport photography.
These experiences have shaped who I am as a photographer, and I’m excited to keep pushing my boundaries and exploring new creative possibilities!
